Needing some time to adjust to the mouse is expected, since he's been through it himself, and while The Shadow gives commands, he's always had the patience to stand back and let his agents complete them. The icons are very basic, but it's fairly intuitive to navigate. Perhaps it's helped that he is a newcomer to the world of computers himself.
