Myra had adapted well to the modern world in which she so often worked, but after several occurrences when she had fallen under mild suspicion, the Old Tiger frowningly instructed that something be done about it. Sitting her down with Chaz Walters for a crash course in pop culture would have required letting her in on Myra's secret. Instead, he ordered Myra to rent a large batch of current and classic movies, instructed her briefly in the use of the VCR, and abandoned her to a few days of mind-numbing education.

He visited to check on her progress at an inopportune moment, and found her curled around a sofa cushion, a box of kleenex close at hand. She sniffled and straightened, hitting the pause button, the moment she became aware of his presence.
"What's happened?" The Shadow was tense, scanning the room for anything out of the ordinary, although he remained uncertain what, precisely, he should be on the lookout for.
"It's... no, I'm okay." Myra wiped her eyes, blushing vividly. "It's just, she admitted she was in love and then she died and it-"
"Perhaps... that's enough immersion in the entertainment culture for today." The Shadow pushed the power button on the VCR, and eyed his agent as if he were afraid she might explode.

((I owe Sarah's player heavily for inspiration.))
