Soon a seat and the coffee table are free and Myra moves the chair across the rug so that she can sit on it while The Shadow will have his sofa.
"If you ever want me to stop by his place, let me know. I'll have more time from now on. If you need me, so long as The Chief hasn't made first claim, I'm there." Before he can get much of a reply in, she walks off towards the kitchen to make the tea.
